By Zoila Palma: Today, Prime Minister John Briceno said that to help businesses free up liquidity and get them back on their feet, the Central Bank will make $ 50 million available for loans to micro, small, medium and large enterprises affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are looking to help businesses that create jobs and bring in foreign exchange [in industries such as] agriculture, BPO and tourism. This will help businesses directly affected by the pandemic, â€Briceno said.
Briceno added that around 200 companies will be able to benefit from the loans which will be offered at an interest rate of 5% per annum for 5 years.
