At least 200 businesses to benefit from low-interest loans

By Zoila Palma: Today, Prime Minister John Briceno said that to help businesses free up liquidity and get them back on their feet, the Central Bank will make $ 50 million available for loans to micro, small, medium and large enterprises affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We are looking to help businesses that create jobs and bring in foreign exchange [in industries such as] agriculture, BPO and tourism. This will help businesses directly affected by the pandemic, âBriceno said.
Briceno added that around 200 companies will be able to benefit from the loans which will be offered at an interest rate of 5% per annum for 5 years.
