The DMC Foundation administers donor-funded, direct and endowed scholarships to help Del Mar College students pay for their college education. Scholarships can be used for tuition, fees, technology, books, or anything a student needs to start and stay in school.

“Del Mar College Foundation scholarships help our students stay in school without having to repay them, unlike student loans,” said Elsie Odom, scholarship coordinator at the DMC Foundation/Development Office.

“The scholarship provides students with the opportunity to be educated and allows them to focus on their studies, increasing their chances of staying in school and graduating on time,” Odom added.

The Foundation Scholars Program offers scholarships for part-time (six to 11 hours) and full-time (12 hours or more) course loads. Eligible students may receive scholarships under the program regardless of financial aid eligibility.

For the 2021-2022 academic year, the Foundation awarded more than $1.5 million to approximately 2,200 students.
