Indian Coast Guard is inviting applications for 71 positions, see recruitment details here

The Indian Coast Guard has announced that it will invite applications from eligible candidates to apply for Deputy Commander positions. Interested candidates can check eligibility and other recruitment details here. Eligible candidates will have to apply for the positions through the Indian Coast Guard official website. Thanks to this recruitment campaign, a total of 71 positions will be filled. For more details, applicants can visit the official website joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in. The registration process has not started yet, it will start on August 17 and end on September 7, 2022.

  • For General Service (GD)/CPL (SSA), there are 50 posts
  • For Tech (Engg)/ Tech (Elect), there are 20 positions
  • For Law, there is 1 position

  • Selection Process: The selection of officer recruits is based on an All India Order of Merit which is based on the performance of the candidate at various stages (I – V) of the examination. Validation of stages I, II, III, IV and V is mandatory for recruitment at the ICG. All applicants will be subject to mandatory biometric, photo ID and document verifications during the various stages of the exam.
  • Exam Fee: The exam fee that will be charged to candidates is Rs. 250. The fee is to be paid online using net banking or using Visa/Master/Maestro/RuPay/Credit/Debit Card/UPI . Please note that SC/ST candidates are exempt from paying application fees.

The official notification reads: “Applicant may only apply for one position, either Deputy Commander (GD) or Deputy Commander {Tech (Engg)} or Deputy Commander {Tech (Elec)} or Deputy Commander (CPL-SSA) or Deputy Commander (Law) in reference to the announcement of a recruitment round.If an applicant completes multiple applications during a particular recruitment round, their last application will be accepted and all previously completed applications will be rejected. The online application will be further considered to determine eligibility and may be rejected at any time if found ineligible in any respect.”

  • Step 1: Applicants should go to the official website and login at https://joinindiancoastguard.cdac.in
  • Step 2: In the next step, applicants will need to follow the instructions to register with email id/mobile number. Candidates must guarantee the validity of the email and mobile phone number until at least December 31, 2023.
  • Step 3: Next, they will need to enter the required details, attach a photo, pay the application fee and click submit
  • Step 4: Print the application form for future reference
