PIDA approves eight low-interest loans

The Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) recently approved eight low-interest loans for businesses in six counties.

Btec Solutions, through Bucks County Economic Development Corp., has received approval for a $2.3 million loan to purchase a 161,000 square foot building. The company is currently renting part of the building.

In addition, the company received approval for a PIDA loan fund of $750,000 for the purchase and installation of machinery and equipment.

Jim Thorpe Site, through the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corp., has been approved for a $1.8 loan to purchase and renovate an 8,400 square foot medical facility .

Equipment Reuse International, through the Northwest Pennsylvania Regional Planning and Development Commission, in Erie County, has received approval for a $199,999 loan to renovate its manufacturing plant.

Mulherins EM, through the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corp.

Penn Dairy, through the SEDA-Council of Governments in Lewisburg, has received approval for a $400,000 loan to construct a 9,260 square foot addition to its food production facility.

Weaver Development, through Economic Growth Connection of Westmoreland, secured a $1.2 million loan to construct two 15,000 square foot industrial flex buildings.
